The medals
We created medals to encourage and reward businesses that reduce their waste.
Zero Waste Saigon medals can be earned by businesses who make a commitment to waste reduction practices.
These businesses will receive medals that they will be able to display at their business’ physical location as well as on their website and social media.
These businesses will also be displayed here on our website and included in a list on our Facebook group which we encourage our community to support.

The No Plastic Straws Medal
This medal can be earned if your business makes a commitment to not use any plastic straws indefinitely. To receive this medal. You must:
- Prove that you have operated for 1 month with no plastic straws
- Demonstrate to us the alternative solution that you have adopted
- Maintain this commitment
The Food Waste Management Medal
This medal can be earned if your business makes a commitment to recycle all food waste. Recycling can consist of composting, giving away unspoiled leftovers, etc. To receive this medal. You must:
- Prove that you have operated for 1 month with no food waste
- Demonstrate to us the alternative solution that you have adopted
- Maintain this commitment
The Plastic Free Delivery Medal
This medal can be earned if your business makes a commitment to not use any plastic in your food delivey. To receive this medal. You must:
- Prove that you have operated for 1 month with no plastic in your deliveries
- Demonstrate to us the alternative solution that you have adopted
- Maintain this commitment
The No Plastic Bottles Medal
This medal can be earned if your business makes a commitment to not use plastic bottles. To receive this medal. You must:
- Prove that you have operated for 1 month without using plastic bottles
- Demonstrate to us the alternative solution that you have adopted
- Maintain this commitment
